Up Ness way

You see these piles of rocks all over the place on the west side of Lewis. I suppose the stones have been harvested from the croft land and then left as agri-sculptures.

Water 'babes' in the Box

Obviously these boys have nothing better to do than pose in front of my old Box camera after a spot of falling in the sea while trying to surf on the local beach this morning.

Ultra wide

Plastic fantastic camera, APX400s surveilence film and R09 - a Rodinal clone. Point it in the right direction and you have a passable snap!

Ness

Ok, the pic is not sharp. The 'camera' [Kiev 6c] is shot with holes in the shutter curtain and film transport issues - all of which wasn't really helped by using Lucky100 film. But this snap does something for me. Must be the lens - and th subject - Donald, a local chap who used to work the fishing boats from our beach many years ago. He's not too well these days but found the energy to go out with a fishing rod to the end of the old concrete peir.
Would love to know what you feel about this one.

My village

I live on the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides. Usually, you see the chocolate box pctures of the beaches and the like. Here's another view of my wonderful village overlooking The Minch - the strip of potentially rough water between here and the Scottish mainland.
The first snap is looking down the road from the house in the evening light.

A day out

The sun shone - again. I took off to the Butt of Lewis [at the top of the island] with a pal. Such a lovely day and of course I feel so good to be living here. Here's some images
