Oooof, I may have to seek help sooner than I thought.

I was working you know. Going this way it just took me over. I just had to snap it up.
Should be ok now as I have been furloughed.

I have had a reevaluation

Maybe I am a landscapist in a portraitists skin?
Ever wondered that?
Or maybe if I just try and be a landscapist, the portraits will appear!

In my defense

As far as the fence goes, MiLud, I had been reading a book about Fay Godwin. It sort of seeps into one. I shall seek treatment soon.

leeds 1970s

Eve grew up in Leeds. Just love these images of the place from 1970s by Peter Mitchell.
Can't seem to do the snaps but here's a good link to a book of his. Well worth a look.

Some years back

When Eve raced and everything. [I did race too but that was only in silent B&W].

Eve and the great Lummux Paul Hunter - him of the paralympic bronze medal and everything - when he piloted Ian Sharpe in the Kilo tt in Athens. They were riding a tandem 15 mile time trial near York. The tandem was borrowed and put together the hour before probably. As it happened, Eve and Paul broke the national 15tt mixed tandem record that day - but didn't claim it because they didn't know they'd have to.

I think the Bob Jackson 2 won the event that day.

Doing what I love best. Portraitising up

Dearest Eve in her best summer wear bearing the brunt of summer gales hereabouts the other day. Just over there to be exact - near the nearest harbour and everything.

Made wif a flash as well as a Soviet camera and odd film I had knocking about.

No, I still don't 'do' landscapes.

Just had to drive this way while working last week so took note of the line of the road with the camera.

Please don't tell Mr Four Tractors

Keith Akabilly has taken a liking to Mr Four Tractors croft. Please don't tell him, Keith hasn't asked for permission and he's wearing the grass down walking up and down. Fair puts a skip in hiis step as he bounds over the nice soft green stuff. Having said that he wasn't too keen on The Crofter's coows o'er the fence and that stopped him proceeding. Goodness only what Keith will think of the s'wild' sheeps The Crofter has just brought back to the croft after evading capture on Tolsta Head for a few years. Oooof, talk about needing a haircut.

Perhaps if I show a snap of a Four Tractors tractor [might be the second-best, but who knows] all will be ok.

Under the influence

One can't help but be influenced by photogs whose work you love - and in this case, whom I have met. My snap has nothing of the charm of Mr Ragnar Axelsson's but i must be influenced by his work and one image in particular. This one. Take your time and look through Rax's images, it's well worth a day or two, trust me.

A little cross

Our recent walkies have been somewhat damp with the cloud low. The air still as you like just the roaring of the waves coming through the mist. Eve stood on that spot. That one there.

I might

Just back from a little light cycling - e-assisted - with Eve. Oh the wind was gusty. Enjoyable all the same as the vehicle usage of roads is very low at present. even lower than it usually was - and that was low. I'll either be full of happiness and hopefulness as you read this or despair as the ME/CFS I enjoy gets back to me.

Pandemic Perkeo

Of course we had a nice stroll despite the sky looking a tad heavy. The wind was cool too cutting though my few layers.

Not sure where I am going with my photography. Down the pan by the look of it. I have been looking at others work though. See here for some fine Bromoils for example. Or just have a look at my Flickr favs. There is some lovely work out there to enjoy.

Have taken the chance to take away comment moderation so hoping the spam won't start again
Stay safe

Perkeo looking for poles

The Perkeo  I was gifted many years ago wanted to go out. I took him out on a stroll round the village looking for poles. There are plenty of them - typical of this island

Oooof, I might have to show you some more. Even if you don't really want to see them. Must be the lockdown since I seem to get less comments and possibly views by the week !

Wandering. But not far.

Inordinate amounts of strolls round the village including a lot here on one of our beaches. And some short bike rides too. There's a lot to be said about these lockdowns. If it wasn't for those ill and dying. :-(

Ebike

I've just bought a new bike !!
An Ebike and everything.
Just like Eve's only a different colour - and the right size.
can't wait.

Photographing the wind

Strolling along the back of Traigh Mhor one's eyes are drawn to the way the persistent and currently cold wind affects the land. The mar ram grass just shimmers if there's sun as well.
