Is this dawg a deputy Scottish dawg. Asking for a friend.

There the dawg was, wobbling along beside its pet human who was waving some flag or other. No idea what it was all about. The dawg obviously knew what was happening.

not mine

This I developed from an old roll of 'film' [actually paper] I was asked to look at. Lovely isn't it? Wish it were mine.

Toots' dilemma

Mr Toots has not been around of late. Been swanning around the Caribbean sipping cool pina coladas and the like whilst cooking himself in the sun. Now he and Mrs Toots are back they brought the sun with them so Mr and I got out with cameras -as we do.

Only the holiday has come to haunt him as he's had to say goodbye to a tooth - no doubt as a result of  an overdose of enjoying himself. Hopefully he'll be back to full working condition soon.,

Waters of Leith

The stroll up to the Modern Art Gallery along the Waters of Leith is grand - despite the paths dilapidated state. And the path goes through the lovely Dean Village which I see is a world heritage site. My snap doesn't do it justice but I enjoyed taking it all the same.

Portobello

Waiting for a morsel to drop.

In an interesting pub/cafe in Portobello. We did have a very lovely time on this whole trip as it happens. Saw some fine exhibitions, had some great meals and beer and met plenty of really fine people. what's not to like?

This is Glasgow

Part of Glasgow anyway. took the snap on my ill-fated trip to see a Doc at the hospital there - and the weather turned so the flights home were cancelled that day. I took the liberty of visiting the Necropolis nearby the hospital. What a fascinating place it is - even if you are not overly energised.

Dockside Tap

A visit to the fine if basic Dockside Tap in Leith has got to be done if you like proper beer. This was the fine Brew Toon's Jail Ale.

I don't 'do' twee

I couldn't resist a snap of this little scene on the ferry home though. The pleasure of having a small camera on ones' person - the XA1

It was all about being there

And I was there and had the experience. That's why I have this marvellous snap.

the lay of the land

In some place it is like this anyway. In this place actually.

Reminds me of someone photographically proper but I can't think who.

Bus stops here

We do have a wonderful bus service here. If you are not here on a bicycle, you can always get around on the buses. Mostly anyway. And there's often a nice place to await the arrival of said bus.

What with the weather here we do have some wonderfully robust concrete bus shelters that will still be there when humans have gone extinct.

Yes I finally got back into the darkish room for a bit of light darkrooming using Slavich Unibrom. Yes it's an ebike on Procida. I tooked it on Polypan-f. Love this sort of work.

Innovative

An Lanntair thinks I'm innovative. That's nice. Perhaps I was once. Now, I'm predictable.
Here's a flower just to prove my point. Taken in the kitchen with  a Minolta af 50/1.7 on Kentmere 400 film rated at 800 and developed in Ilford PQ universal. Because I can.

Awaiting a bit of tlc

Some people think we only have tractors here. There are a few of them and some of them like these are left rotting on the croft awaiting some love.

Stone

Ooof, yes that's a Callanish stone. And a caravan with decrepit house. We have it all here.

This very day I met a man working with a Japanese film crew - looking at the geology of the land. Last time I came across a Japanese film crew they were half asleep in the pub on Easdale island for the World Stone Skimming Champs,  having tasted most of the whiskies they had in there.

Horsing about

If you like equestrian things, then a session with Traigh Mhor Pony Trekking might be just up your strasse.  Here Kirsty is sorted out the four legged ones ready for an outing.

Oh and I met Ginty again!

Ebike

Just bought the kit to convert my mtb to an ebike. Had a brilliant idea in my quest to get fit again - without killing myself with my less than excellently healthy heart. I shall set the ebike up on the old indoor trainer turbo thing and just set it off to ride 10 miles every day while I sleep. Excellent! Why did I not think of that before?
