Kiev60 making a fight for it

Since the Hassie has made it's presence felt, the old Kiev60 has been itching to get used. So today I loaded ith Fp4 and took offf to Marsden - and old mill-town over t'hill.
The day was overcast but the sun shone through once or twice - but I missed that!

Somerset Guy Fawks Carnivals

If you have not been, put it in your diaries for next year.
Difficult to snap well, here's a few of the best floats [out of the 120 that took 3.5hrs to pass].
The best by far was Ghost Ship by Gremlins Carnival club of Bridgwater . All taken with the Spotmatic with 28mm Hanimar and delta3200/LC29

Eve takes revenge

My dear partner took this picci of me - seated in chair - at the recent North Petherton Carnival in Somerset. Love my multi-coloured hat? And here is one of huge floats - 120 in all that took 3.5 hrs to pass in this the 401st edition!

A Smaller Kiev

A Kiev 4a in fact with jupiter 8 lens - fresh from my chum Monty. Loaded with Era 100 and shot using both natural light and flash!!!!! An evening at the Bridgwater carnival is always great fun - even if it is cold! The morning after we went to the beach.

Kiev visits again!

After my last foray with the kiev 6c, I thought that dalience had ended. These beasts are not known for the their robustnes in use unless you have in mind cracking someones skull open. The last one I had came all the way from a former Russian state and sported a hole in the shutter curtain - that bounced in use anyway, a tempremental film winding mechanism and an aperture ring that twirled but did nothing. Still, I like portraits at f2.8 and the case was nice.
now, I have just been given another beast of this ilk - a Kiev60 and, at the moment it seems to be working - properly. Apart from the lightmeter that is.
So, seeing I didn't want to waste energy on a film shoot that only delivered overlapping frames and the like, i shot off a a roll of hp5 quickly and sloshed it up in R09 . a few hairs on the neg to liven things up a bit but we have images!
Shot indoors, wide open at 1/30th.

Londinium

A visit to The Smoke is not a usual pleasure for me but we were going up to visit the Photo Gallery - which in the end turned out to be dissappointment. The Portrait gallery made the trip well worthwhile as did visitations of various chums.
As usual, all of life is on display in the capiol - here some filming was getting ready to happen. Both vivitar ultra Era100/R09
