Tourists

Waiting for tourists - Harris
The allure of Bosta - Isle of Bernera
Tourists arrive in Kirkwall, Orkney
The place of tourists on the Western Isles seems to be somewhat contested. On one hand the businesses that cater for visitors - cafes, artists, outdoor pursuits and the like, are very keen to help and encourage. On the other hand, it seems like the local council doesn't care or, even worse discourages visitors - despite what they may say. Try finding a place to have a pee on a Sunday on the island! Don't be put off, this place is spectacular, most people very welcoming and eager to help you enjoy yourself.
On the other hand, Orkney seems to have it sorted. Here's a few tourists visiting St Magnus in Kirkwall.
