First, I think the title is very appropriate.

Second, how come nature is so selective on the bits it leaves behind? Or is there human intervention here?

Looks like the Scottish equivalent of the Arizona desert, with auto parts instead of mule bones.

But where is the parking warden going to be able to afix the parking ticket? It looks like the vehicle has been parked well over the allowed time....
