We saw trees

We don't have many trees here on the island - apart from a few small conifer plantations and the Stornoway Castle grounds. And since we seemed to see a lot of trees while we were off island - standing still and everything I took to making a couple of snaps. I feel that James Ravilious was looking over my shoulder when I took this one!

Nice try but I think James would have magic'd up a herd of something to fill the road.
Have you considered a tree planting campaign at home?

Rereading my comment (which I know I should have done before sending) shows it to be a bit derogatory, which was not intended. It's a good shot and I should have said so first - sorry. Can you tell that I'm grovelling?
Did I mention the wheelie bins - sorry (again) forget that. :-)

Ha! Tis ok David, no need to grovel. The wheelie bins are my take for the current era!

they are having community tree planting on the Shetland Isles...where there are even fewer trees!

Take your lead from that other place Andrea and organise a mass tree plant-in.

Don't mention the wheelie bins.

Wheelie bins in all their technicolor are the bain of every urban photographer but you did them proud. As for the photo I can recall my Dad (a keen photographer who supplied me with my first camera at the age of 6) explaining the mysteries (to me) of perspective. Wonderful. He never mentioned what to do with wheelie bins though.
