You can tell when I have had a good holiday
Have you been here?
I have. We, Eve and I have.
this place and everything. Plants, chameleons and fish.
This wasn't a chameleon, trust me.
In Gliwice, I tell you.
fir the technical geeks. I pressed the button of the Minolta 505si and polypan-f while pointed at this but it moved. I'm rather glad it did.

Hedge
Ooof, what a fun time was had touring the cake shoppes of Katowice. This wasn't there I am sure you can tell. The hedge is Polish sure enough but was in Nikiszwiec - a rather lovely place to be sure. It was however, some 31c and not the best for wandering around although we did - via a cake shoppe.
It was by all accounts - and here you are getting mine - a really nice place. Splendid even - with an adjacent art gallery of which more another day.
This hedge sits within a courtyard feeling all proud under the blazing sun. The polypa-f film wasn't so keen

It was the huge Chicken-Man that worried me
It wasn't the sort of thing I'd been expecting. I'd not been expecting anything much to be honest - a mild visitation of a new to me place with added bier and cake. That much I'd got right but then, as if by magic, as if I'd started dreaming a 'man' with feathery arms flapped into the space and a cyclist rode by. Always a cyclist riding by it seems. Just as well there were lots of cycle paths.

Going out
Love this track, the curves in the path, the distant hill and the relative quietude with just birds to sing to me.

Murdo's loaded tractor
There he is with his loaded tractor out on the moor. Quite a feat driving it back I think though the track has been lovingly maintained over the years. I shall be back in this spot again.

And Moor
This lovely villager, Murdo Murray kindly agreed that I could take his picture. I found him loading the tractor with hard won peats for the home fire. This was out on the Moor on a track that for some reason I had not ventured before and it is lovely. I mean, really lovely.

More Moor
I love these peat tracks, their shape and feel. The colour and the wildlife around them.
I took the snap with a Hassie and 50mm lens.

The Moor
This a track onto the moor by the village . We go up here to cut peats.
Tis so lovely out here but possibly to be despoiled by a large collection of Huge Wind Turbines.

forgive me
It's Toots.
He is displaying his usual plumage - the way he does when camera is pointed in his direction. It's a photographer thing I'm told.

OOOOooooof
The old Kiev4a with a Jupiter 8m but I have not taken it on holiday. Yes, we are away for a few days. Me with camera too.

enjoying
We have taken to enjoying the lovely landscapes out by our peat bank whilst it is still there. There's plans afoot to despoil the area with 14 huge wind turbines if certain people get their way. :-(

I'm trying
I'm doing my best but waiting for inspiration to come flooding into my life. In the meantime you'll have to make do with dodgy snaps with dodgy camera from around the village

Curves and Lines
If you are a photoclub member - and I'm not - you'll have heard about this. Or you have read all about on tinternet - I have not. Apparently it looks nice.
I think it can as here as Eve goes down onto a village beach one evening.

glass
Yes, it's Toots again. Shot him with his own 4x5 with an Ilford glass plate. Little bit of back tilt to make something different. It doesn't really work does it?
Had a nice morning in his darkroom yesterday, dipping paper in liquids and shining lights. That sort of thing anyway.

This is sea
This is sea. It's the sort of thing one recognises when living on an island. It's not always this shape mind. Other days it can look a bit different. I may show you that another day.
This snap was taken by me holding a Kiev4/Jupiter8 and Kentmere 400 film. It works. That's what I can say about it.

Kiev 4
I took the Kiev 4 loaded with Polypan-f out for a stroll in the cool sun the other day. Not the best combination but one must be fair to ones cameras so I take them out from time to time. The north end of the village took my fancy and had an enjoyable stroll round the loop there - overlooking the sea as almost everywhere does.
See how very sophisticated we are here. Bouncy thing, pole and fuel store. We know how to live you know.

Un published but curated
You dear reader are the first to see this snap.
I'll have you know I like it but please don't tell anyone else, they'll think I've gone soft in the head.
These strike me as being planet like.
I might have to print this too.

Good grain
Don't try and tell me this image is flawed! It's perfect pretty well. Apart from the subject, the lack ermph, the colour and the white bits at the bottom that is. But the grain I love.
Like it!

Playing again
I'm almost incapacitated after helping scrape the boat boat, repaint it and this morning chase some sheeps around with The Crofter, his family and Murdo Grazings. Lovely as the sun still shines [at the time of writing]

There's an Architectural Trail here on the Western Isles. All the usual places you can imagine but they missed this delight out. A concrete construction in t'middle of the toon with all sorts of interesting things on the top. Lovely tarmac car park too.
I did visit the photographist who sucked all the pixels out of the air for this project. I was passing thr lair of John Maher the other day on a werk related issue and called in for a natter. Loved to see his electric e-bike there too.
Missed a trick with this building though.
