someone lovely has just gifted me some photo books several of which are portrait stuff. I like portraits but Eve has got ujpfed with me snapping her up all these years and despite me being quite an outgoing personage I'm not always keen to ask if i snap their likeness up so I do something like this - out on Barvas moor.

Oh, I too am a fan of a portrait, and am likewise surrounded by only those who are reticent about being subjects. Mostly I auto portrait, mostly as a way of tracing my changing landscape as the years pass. As I am not infrequently mistaken for the great Louis Theroux, I take that to be approval of my looks which is itself a confidence booster.
