Had a lovely morning yesterday. Met Mr Toots, Mr Stubbs and Anne in an Lanntair enjoying the sun shining through the cafe window. it's a regular meetup, a chance for me to learn something new and arty from Stubbsy, have a whinge at the glum Toots and admire Anne's latest outfit. What's not to like

Little Leicablad

 Apologies for showing me holiday snaps but until someone tells me what to else to snap, these will have to suffice. I used the little Leicablad camera - just like the real thing only it's plastic, hasn't got any controls and is now broked - a bit. The winding handle thing fell off yesterday. I'm surprised it lasted that long to be honest - it was only about 1mm thick!.
Anyway, it worked OK on our hols - well, the sun was shining a bit.

 Proper glare and everything. Thanks what you get with a scratched plastic camera lens - virtual perfection. Cost me a £1 some years ago that did.

Was a bit too hot this day I seemed to recall. had to spend an inordinate amount of time in a cafe squaffing cooling drinks - and spending the time watching people go by, or not.

Lisbon is nice for that.

In the Metro

Yes, I was in the Metro there too. With my trusty PentaxEspioMini in my hand surreptitiously snapping here and there.

No Pixels

It was just as well I was shooting film here as this man - an obvious visitor - was wielding his pixel-catcher left and right. Up AND down. I can't imagine there were any pixels left for anyone else.

Here it is. A snap from wherever we were. Those lightposts are known for that place there as are the stones on the floor. The people are optional in that they are not always there. They were this day and it looks like I must have snapped them up with the Vivitar Ultra Wide and Slim.

I agonised for moments before I went out there. I wondered what camera to carry around with me. I took the Minolta 505si, the Pentax Espio Mini but used this little gem a lot.
Have I leaned something?
Probably not.

We went here on a train. Nice and everything only, we got there to find this boy CHASING THE DUCK THING. It may not have been a duck actually but you get the idea.

The duck thing remained uncaught. The boy was tired and his mentor smiled. I didn't.
I snapped them up with the UWS.

We were strolling down here, past the building to get up the, the road about when this manboy began to approach. I wanted to ask where he was going and what he was doing. Only my language skills are poor and the manboy may have been able to spreken de Anglais and that would have made me feel inadequate so I just smiled. I guess he knew where he was was going and to do what.

I mean, I like this track to this beach. We live just oop the road and everything. Only, It's a bit of a drag coming back up ! And there are sheeps.

rebuilt a pinhole

The pinhole camera I'd built ages ago was playing me up. The images were less than they could be, it light leaked and whathaveyou. So I re made the thing. Made the focal length a little longer. Put some foma100 and took it out for a try - in a force 8 gale.

Italy. A while back.

October it was - warm enough / too warm in the day although the pool was less than hot.
