300

Although I do post on a fairly regular basis I do have nagging doubts at what I am doing. The photos are nice enough but do they mean anything to anybody?
Recently I have been helping mr Toots print some more images of his in his darkroom. Nice, but makes me wonder what I should print.
Before the persistent rain returned after a short hiatus yesterday, I did manage to shoot two 4x5s on Lucky 100 film I found I had. Nice enough too. I might even get Mr Toots to fire up his huge beast of enlarger and print big. I mean BIG.

I love all your little captures, it’s like reading your story. They mean that I have somewhere to go on an evening, admire, smile at your comments and be grateful that you spend the time ultimately for our pleasure. I for one really appreciate it and if you lived next door I would be doing this while drinking your coffee and eating your cake! I love the little haven you’ve created and long may it continue. Thank you.

I enjoy your work and come snooping by to see what you are up to each day.
You know I'm a big fan of your photography and wish I could visit. Each photo lends a personal view of the area and people and sheeps. And the cat.

There's a lot in here, and I mean a lot. Just as Harvey says up here, it's like reading your story, even though I feel the words and the pictures are telling different parts of the story sometimes. And that's a good thing, of course :)
About what to print, I think that's a different thing for those of us who play around inside the dark rooms at times. It's all about feeling and our own inner thoughts, or something like that, maybe? And about printing big: I like to print big sometimes. It's a totally different experience, and at least it's nice sometimes to see if I got the required skills to make it happen. Sometimes I do, and more often I don't, but that's OK as well.
I love your prints, and I love your style of photography. I also really like the way you see the world around you, but that's probably related to the before mentioned "style of photography"... I think. Lots of words, but I at least hope a few of them made any sense :)

Doubting is good and I dare say a necessary part of the never-ending journey. But you have nothing to worry about - your work is an inspiration to many of us.
