a nice list
I rather like lists - particularly if it doesn't involve me ticking off things I should be doing. I came across this fair list of Photographisers the other day and enjoyed being introduced to few togs work I hadn't seen before. It's not like I think these photogs are the best or something - or even that I like them all, but they are interesting....
May I suggest you spend a moment or two researching some of them further - as I have done.
How about this snap by Tim Walker for a start?
Ooof!

It wasn't quite as I'd imagined
The snap that is, not the place, which I know all too well. Well enough anyway. And Eve of course. It was our daily stroll and I'd tooked the Franka Rolfix camera with me with 35 film adaptor and kentmere400 rated at 800.
My camera doesn't look quite like the one in the link as it came out of a skip/dustbin. It does work after a fashion - but with added flare and light leak as I'd not taped the back enough. I might try this again with a better camera !

Polypan-f
Surprisingly, I still have some of this ultra cheap as "chips in 1970" film left so I loaded it up and shot it about a bit. This was Covid19 stroll so was hereabouts, with Eve. Forgotten how much I like playing with this film but also seem to have forgotten how to develop the stuff. Rather overdid the whole thing but there's an image I do rather like. It's this one.
ooof, must do some more of these. I love 'em.

Fomapan
I do like this film - the Fomapan200 - but I seem to be out of it and supplies for bulk rolls that came from Norway before are subject to import taxes.
I might just have to buy ready rolled for when we can get out in summer.

almost a fence
Out on a solo stroll behind the village here on the island I noticed this ex-fence. Full of character yet not able to do its job I think - whatever that job was.
This track I took is a favourite of mine in that the shapes it describes across an old landscape are wonderful and you are unlikely to see a soul.
Ok, it's day three of the lockdown and it was a gale outside yesterday so we stayed in and danced - as you do - to the great and local Peat & Diesel. Stay indoors and safe xx

Un-social strolling
Eve and I took off the other day in sunshine for a stroll elsewhere. That where being Great Bernera - a particularly lovely part of these outer hebrides and not too far from home. I took the car with cameras and strolled when I got there. Eve cycled there as she likes to.
The sun shone and warmed my back as I walked taking a few snaps with the Zorki6 / Jupiter 12 as I went [Kentmere 400 @800]. I didn't really care what the snaps were like as it was such a wonderfully beautiful day, in a wonderful place with no-one else there. How lucky are we.

I could do with a week here again
This is a wonderful place to stay. Dry Island near Gairloch in Scotland. Although it's wonderful here on the Isle of Lewis I am rather looking forward to another stay here on Dry Island. In better times, go there.

caught this
Caught Daisy on camera doing some handbrake turns round the Hub cafe car-park in a camper van the other day. Her mate Harris, another Tibetan Terrier was operating the foot pedals !

Gorn and mostly forgotten
The shipyard is still there but this building has gone. I suppose it dated from the time when Fred Olsen owned the place. Now the yard [on the right of here] is on-off as the work arrives, disappears and bankruptcy ensues followed by another financial bailout.

Keith the Viking
Have not seen The Viking for ages. Hope he is well and busy too. These snaps were from 2015 . How time flies.
I do hope they are doing well out there in South Lochs area. Reminds me I must go down that way again soonish.

Missing
ooof, Just been looking through some older snaps and find this among the many snaps we have of peeps who have moved away from the island. Deanne and Ian are now residing on mainland Scotland. We miss them.

ooh, the world is still there
And looking lovelee as ever especially from the seat of a bicycle - as I was when I tooked this snap a few years back.
Not sure why but it always looks lovelee when there's a bend in the road - just like the snap I have been reprinting in the dark this morning - see here .

please don't tell me the poles are getting to you.
I'm rather partial to the poles.
I'm putting a little booklet together.
In the meantime have a look at the work of Dan Harnett whom I met in the Harris Distillery cafe - as one does. Nice blur too.
And take a moment to see the work of Loreta Gema who I met on Garry beach yesterday. Or even some of mine on Flickr. As if...

Harris
We had a few hours on the Isle of Harris yesterday as Harris the Tibetan Terrier tries to bring his human pet Alethia over on the ferry - if only it would sail. This was there.
Later; Alethia , Harris and Daisy have arrived. Keith is not impressed.
