Did I tell you there's a wedding soon?
Yes, a wedding. And no, the snap is not related. Well, it is in that the piggies is 'owned' or at least looked after by The Crofter Sir and Mrs2b.
This week is their wedding. Have been searching for something that doesn't require ironing. That's the bane of weddings, one is almost obliged to use an iron on ones' clothes and the iron may or may not work! Have people not heard of Crushed Cotton - quite the latest thing I hope.
Camera to take to said wedding; it's indoors this ere wedding. Hotel and all that - one with a roof so I am preparing well. I have form with photographing these events. Just check here for a few masterpieces from previous matrimonials and everything.
In celebration of this momentous event, I'd love you to send me your fav celebratory snaps to be shown here - soon . wiesmier [at] hotmail.co.uk

At the wedding of Joby & Sophie Ingram-Dodd
Did I tell you I went to a wedding on the mainland? No, well, we went to a wedding on the mainland recently. Nice too. I took some snaps while I was there. Special snaps with a character all of their own. I might have to lith one of these up - just for the happy couple so they can hide it somewhere for someone to find in fifty years time - if the human race is still talking to each other by then and has not been fried by the hot weather or, run out of food or something.
The obligatory family group - not sure if that's my family. Can it be? Well, it could be. Yes, I think it is. At the moment anyway.
The resistance piece or whatever one calls it. Depicting the moment the groom described his profession. Or do I mean 'admitted to' ?
Either way, it's a masterpiece - just so you know!
Listen.

This was the wedding [2]

Just back from the weekly Lewis Photographica coffee session and find myself still suffering from some ghastly bug that seems to be ravaging my bod at the moment. I have only enough energy to scan a neg or two before retiring to bed and then out to work later [life eh? ].

The wedding
Don't be impertinent! Yes this was the wedding - or part of it anyway. Messers Commonwealth Games riders trashing the tandem in the grass sprinting.
What? You have never been to a wedding like that?
I hadn't either but I'd be happy to again.

The Wedding
Have I told you that we, that's Eve, my civilled up partner of sixteen years and I went to a proper wedding recently. The occasion meant we took a ferry from this here rock o'er to the mainland and traipsed down to Dumfriesshire where the event was taking place. Gosh the weather was warm down there.
Anyway the betrothal took place in a wood by a loch [no midges either] near Dalbeattie. Lovely cool stroll in with the attendees, bride, groom and signified marrying person. I was overwhelmed with lovelee feeling of joyusness or something by the time we arrived at the 'venue' - a clearing by the lake.
Twas superb. The sun shone [as you may be able to see], the humanist personage spoke, rings were exchanged, a rambling group marched through [really] and we all laughed and applauded in near enough the right places. Best wedding I've yet been to. I wish whoever it was getting hitched the very best of happiness for the future.

Don't call me a skinflint
Oh no, I didn't just use a £1 camera at the wedding , I used this one too. It cost me 50p. Oh look it's that laughing pair Kate Cullen and Eileen Roe trying to outride the boys [they did] at The Wedding.
Meanwhile, The Man of The Wedding blew the whistle.

Wedding photography
We attended the wedding of a nephew of mine down in the wild south of England in 2013 so I thought I might do some special photography for them. Twas a fine affair is lovely C of E church in the countryside and the reception next door in a hotel. Oh yes, very nice venues and lent itself to fine images - as you can see.
Thinking this was a chance to kick-start my matrimonied upping snaps career I took a Soviet Zorki 'camera' for the event. Oh it was a wild success although I must admit I am still awaiting booking to come through. Maybe I didn't show these images around enough.

His Mum awaits the happening of the marriage of her eldest son to Sophie
You see, I can take nice snaps when I want to. That's my elder sister at the recent wedding of her eldest son wearing a 'hat' and everything. It was red - just in case you are asking.
I think I may take this up for a living. Seems like a doddle to take wedding snaps. The thing is; who else takes snaps like this at weddings? Eh? No-one that's the answer. USP and all that.
I awoke this morning after a restless night [new mattress on the bed ] and then a horrendous dream which meant I had to get up whilst still quite tired as I couldn't face going back into that dream-world. I blame it on Mrs Up-Yours who came round breathing our air, and chatting to our guest - Mr Alex Boyd - him of the hat and the funny camera thing with a cloth over his head. Photographists eh? Mrs Up-Yours went home eventually, leaving her camper cage here. Doh! She did like Mr Boyd's hair though.
Meanwhile I find that Mr Boyd has shot images [he does't do snaps apparently] all over the shop and with lots of peoples - even appearing on the googlebox I'm told. If you see him down Harris way today, give him a wave.

Wedding; and here's a dilemma
My unique wedding photographs have big following. Eve likes them anyway.
In have now shot a few such occasions in this style so can muster a full set of images without even having at attend any more. Much easier and much more environmentally effective than going around the country using fuel, film, chemicals and photo paper. I can just send them my set of images on email.
I'll just have to think about the costs for each booking .....

Ok, here's one I prepared just now. No idea who it is but I think it was this last wedding.

I can tell you with the utmost certainty the wedding will not be taking place here. I shall be taking a camera to make blurry images though.

I think it was pre wedding.

Wedding; the shaking of the fingers
Ah yes, the shaking of the fingers part. Maybe. I wasn't fully following proceedings fully as I was concerned about the creature walking through. Not sure if it was real or merely an artifact of the spirit world. I must ask Maureen my spirit guide for the day, that's her here on the right or was it the left? Anyway she was there along with Rona and lots of people. Lovely lady in a long white dress called Elissa [the girl not the dress]who seemed very friendly with Alex son of other people there. They might be in the shot too.
Nice eh?
This is my USP for wedding photos. see here and here and here if you can be bothered.

The Wedding of Mr & Mrs Toots
The couple are lovely - of course they are. Anne looked wonderful, Mr Toots was terrifically elegant in his kilted outfit, everyone smiled, cried and were happy. We all talked, we admired Sophie the flower girl and then we all went home satisfied the day was great.
Mr & Mrs Toots have now gone off to an exotic island for a well-deserved honeymoon. We wish them all the luck and love in the world.

Of course I went!
It wasn't today. Today being a few days ago Tolsta-time. It was back then when the world seemed a better place. When all was rosy and we, Eve and I among others went to a wedding. Lovely it was too. Lovely. This is one of my famous wedding snaps. No idea who it is but I like it. It speaks to me.
Part of the work from the Wiesmier Collective. The WC is me, myself and I.
